Performance Decrement in Relation to Task Difficulty.

Abstract

The document is concerned with the relationship between the difficulty of a job and the performance decrement which persons might display at that job if required to work at it for a prolonged period. It has been assumed that the decrement will be greater for more difficult tasks. On the basis of several formulations, it was proposed that an experiment be planned in which task difficulty would be the parameter. (Author)
