Observations on the Formation of Sporangia Laminaria for Propagation Summering in Low-Temperature Culture Rooms,

Abstract

The experiments showed that, provided the water temperature and light conditions are suitable and the quality of the water and nutrients is adequate, Laminaria plants for propagation can summer in culture rooms and product sporangia, so that plants needed for propagation can be produced locally in the South and that the germlings can be gathered at the most expedient time. Strong germlings of good quality can be produced in sufficient quantity in culture rooms and at the same time the cost of propagation is greatly reduced. (Author)
