A Graphic Determination of the Viscosity of Mineral Oils, Thickened by Polyisobutylene,
Abstract
A formula is proposed which covers a greater interval of concentrations than the formula of Puchkov-Fuchs. When using this formula there is no need for preparing solutions of polymers and determining their viscosity. The formula was obtained on the basis of processing experimental data and has a given form. The proposed formula is applicable for solutions with viscosity of up to 25 cSt and polyisobutylenes with a molecular weight of 3,000-85,000. (Author)
