High Power Electronics. Number 1, 1962,

Abstract

This volume is the first of a series of collected works, designed for publication, completed in the laboratory of Academician P. L. Kapitsa and devoted to the development of high power electronics, studying the problems of the generation of powerful high-frequency electromagnetic oscillations and their transformations into other forms of energies. The solution of these problems permits an extremely effective use of the powerful high-frequency electromagnetic oscillations in energetics which opens new horizons in the field of electronics. This present volume contains the monograph 'High Power Electronics' and the article 'Natural Oscillations in Cavity Resonators with Lattice Diaphragms' written by P. L. Kapitsa. In the monograph, the basic theories of high power electronic high-frequency instruments of the magnetron type are described, and some experimental results are presented. In the article, the theory of electromagnetic oscillations in resonators of interest to powerful high-frequency generators is given.
