Interplanetary Magnetic Sector Polarity Inferred from Polar Geomagnetic Field Observations.

Abstract

With the use of a prediction technique it is shown that the polarity (toward or away from the sun) of the interplanetary magnetic field can be reliably inferred from observations of the polar geomagnetic field. (Author)
