Abstract

The Red Cross Donor Center at the University of Frankfurt supplies blood and blood products for the County of Hessen in West Germany. This institute has introduced to clinical medicine the liquid anticoagulant acid-citrate-dextrose (ACD) supplemented with adenine and guanosine. This laboratory is involved in both the European Frozen Blood Bank and the European Transplantation Organization. (Author)
