Abstract

The Central Laboratory of the Netherlands Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service is an outstanding laboratory organized to provide blood and blood products for the Netherlands. This laboratory is primarily involved in preparation of stable plasma protein fractions (albumin, gamma globulin, and antihemophilic globulin). In addition, this laboratory has been studying preservation of red cells, white cells, platelets, and organs. This laboratory is responsible for the frozen rare blood bank in Europe. (Author)
