On the Construction of a Class of Generalized Interpolating Splines in One Variable,
Abstract
In a recent work, the author discussed the construction of a base of generalized interpolating splines, by generalizing the variational method expounded by C. Carasso in his dissertation. The purpose of this note is to describe the construction of L-splines using the method given by P. J. Laurent and P. M. Anselone. The general definition of interpolating splines as given by M. Atteia is used. The generalized divided differences are used. (Author)
