Report of Determination of O2 Percentage Change, Due to Stratification or Diffusion through the Cylinder Walls, of HeO2 Mixtures.

Abstract

The object of the experiment is to determine the stratification and the diffusion through the cylinder walls, if any, of helium-oxygen mixtures in cylinders under pressure when the latter are undisturbed for relatively long periods of time. If diffusion is present it is desired to find the rate of diffusion of the respective gases involved and their effect on the ultimate HeO2 percentage. If stratification is present, it is desired to find out where it occurs in the cylinder. (Author)
