Research in Atmospheric Acoustics

Abstract

The final report consists of eight published papers. They can be grouped under the following headings: An engineering description of the digital system used for acquiring most of the infrasonic and seismic data used in this program. Studies of atmospheric turbulence spectra, acoustic waves from atmospheric disturbances and means of reducing infrasonic 'noise'. The relationships between long seismic noise and atmospheric pressure changes due to turbulence and due to infrasonic waves.
