A Preliminary Least Cost Model to Accomplish Explosive Phasedown.

Abstract

The report, details a simplified mathematical model that relates to the reduction of explosives manufactured in the most economical fashion during times of reduced demand. Because explosive manufacture is accomplished in production units termed lines, the probelm becomes one of integer programming. Additional constraints exist that limit the maximum number of line closings within a given time period. (Author)
