The Effect of Evaporated Metallic Electrodes on the Transition Temperature of Tri-Glycine Sulphate.

Abstract

Measurements of the effect of electrode thickness on the transition temperature of tri-glycine sulphate (TGS) are reported. An increase in the transition temperature is predicted utilizing the elastic Gibb's free energy equation of state. The prediction is verified by capacitance versus temperature measurements for evaporated gold electrodes varying in thickness from 250A to 3000A. The predicted increase in transition temperature is 0.15C while the measured value is 0.07C. (Author)
