A Sonar Detection Model

Abstract

The report modifies an existing sonar range prediction model for the AN/SQS-23 in such a manner as to attain detection range data in consonance with exercises from which the original data was extracted. It also shows personnel a method for incorporating more than one ship in the model. This model will assist users in ascertaining the number of units required to perform a given antisubmarine task.
