An Acquisition and Tracking Receiver for Satellite-to-Satellite Relaying at 55GHz. 55GHz

Abstract

The note deals with the design of an acquisition and tracking system for inter-satellite communication. The problems of acquisition and tracking of position and of frequency are addressed. These are defined for the planned LES-8 and -9 satellites and a system design is proposed. The anticipated performance of the system is evaluated.
