Commercial Microfilm Systems for Vendor Products Information and Specifications in the Savannah District, Corps of Engineers,

Abstract

Users of vendors' product information, Military and Federal Specifications and Standards, and OCE (Office, Chief of Engineers) Guide Specifications were surveyed to determine the nature and extent of their needs for these types of information and to assess utilization of an installed, commercially supplied microfilm system and of conventional hard copy collections of these materials to satisfy their requirements. Three commercially available microfilm systems are described and compared in relation to the specific requirements of the users studied.
