Multiple Range Light Modulator for Light Range Finders (Mnogodyapazonnyi Modulyator Sveta dlya Svetodalnomerov),

Abstract

The combination of Super High Frequencies (SHF) and low frequency light modulators is achieved by isolating a small sector of the waveguide or the end wall of the resonator in the SHF line (waveguide or cavity resonator) which contacts the electro-optical modulating element from the remainder of the SHF LINE USING A DIELECTRIC DISK WITH LOW LOSSES AT SHF, for example a ring of teflon. With this design, the bias voltage for selection of the working point of the modulator, as well as the modulating low frequency voltage can be fed to the isolated sector of the SHF line. (Author)
