The Design and Evaluation of a Microwave Phase Measurement System.

Abstract

The thesis was undertaken to ascertain the feasibility of producing an accurate phase measurement system using standard components normally available in the laboratory or those that could be purchased relatively inexpensively. Several systems are discussed and two of them were physically evaluated. It was concluded that it was not feasible to build an accurate system without large additional expense; however, if such expense is justifiable recommendations are given for the construction of an improved system.
