The Synthesis of Hexahydropyrimidines as Potential Cardiovascular Drugs and Characterization Agents,

Abstract

Twelve new Hexahydropyrimidines have been prepared for testing as potential cardiovascular drugs and as characterization agents. The reagent l, 3-Di-p-toluidinopropane appears to be specific for aromatic aldehydes. A discussion of cardiovascular ailments, the history of drugs used in their treatment, and methods of testing such drugs has been presented. A discussion of the problem involved in the research study has been made. (Author)
