Ceramic Materials Research - Status Report 1971.

Abstract

The report presents the results of three efforts. (1) improvement of fused silica, (2) development of new/improved glass ceramics, and (3) ferrites for latching phasers, along with future plans for continued research. Specific materials discussed include fiber reinforcement of fused silica, the lithium-alumina silicate ternary ceramic, and lithium-substituted ferrites. (Author)
