Use of Extrapolation in Short-Range Forecasting (Case Study).

Abstract

The technical note gives the step-by-step procedure for extrapolation of the movement of certain weather phenomena using surface and upperair analyses. Short-range forecasting (0-4 hours) is emphasized and a case study using the technique set forth herein is given for Scott AFB, Illinois. (Author)
