Temporal Position of Reviews and Its Effect on the Retention of Mathematical Rules.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to investigate for mathematical rule learning the variable of spaced review, which verbal learning studies have indicated is important for retention. The effect of temporal position of review was investigated in two experiments, experiment involving one review and xperiment involving two reviews. The methodology for both experiments paralleled the procedure employed in meaningful verbal learning research. (Author)
