A Decision Theory Analysis of Social Power.

Abstract

The purpose of the paper is to present decision theory as a framework which can clarify and organize the various conceptualizations of social power. The decisions and consequent behavior of actors in exerting and responding to social power are analyzed in these terms. A number of theories of power are reviewed and a detailed description of a decision theory approach to power is presented. (Author)
