Procurement Document Preparation,
Abstract
The report describes a study conducted by the Operations Analysis Department of FMSO (Navy Fleet Material Support Office) for ASO (Navy Aviation Supply Office) to improve the preparation of documents in the procurement process. The solution proposed consists of a time-sharing system of programs which manipulate required data in specially prepared files through the use of remote terminals to construct a 'tailored' procurement document. The study indicates the capability that tailoring the document offers the potential for reduction of preparation costs. (Author)
