An Evaluation of Three Methods Used in Determining the Reliability of Complex Systems.

Abstract

The report is being written for the purpose of providing a comparison of the three methods which have been used in the SAFEGUARD System for determining warhead section system reliability. The report also attempts to enable the reader to gain some insight into the theory and rationale of these methods. A numerical comparison is given by analyzing a system which in a simplified manner represents the functional sequence of a warhead section similar to that employed in the SAFEGUARD System. (Author)
