Infrared Reflectance Spectra for Selected Paint Pigments

Abstract

The report presents data on the near infrared reflectance spectra, 0. 6-2.0 micron region, for 89 pigments in a wide range of colors. Pigments, both organic and inorganic, were selected for low infrared absorption and possible use in the design of military coatings with controlled infrared reflectance. The data obtained provides a basis for characterization of the pigments examined based on reflectance properties.
