3200 Angstrom Phosphor.

Abstract

The objective of the program was to conduct a research and development program leading to the production of a cathodoluminescent phosphor which emits with high efficiency in the spectral region around 3200 A and to incorporate the developed phosphor into very high resolution cathode-ray tubes with fiber optic faceplates for data recording on UV sensitive, dry-process film. The work during the final reporting period is summarized and the results of all the 3200 A phosphor development work are reviewed. The design of the very high resolution CRT's is described. (Author)
