Mathematical Models of Vehicular Dynamics,

Abstract

A general survey of the effects of the suspension, tire and external loading (engine, road roughness and wind) on vehicle vibration is presented. Models with one, two, four and six degrees of freedom are compared and discussed. A seven degree model including sprung and unsprung masses is presented and analyzed based on Newtonian mechanics. A model with 15 degrees of freedom is presented for the tank. (Author)
