Concerning the Mechanism of Adsorption-Complexing Absorption (O Mekhanizme Adcorbtsionno-Kompleksoobrazovatelnogo Poglosheneniya),
Abstract
For clarification of the question of the working mechanism of the adsorption-complexing columns, the isotherms of sorption of the complexing substance were removed by the carrier-sorbent and the metal by the modified sorbent. Since, in the capacity of the carrier-sorbent in the adsorption-complexing method, there is employed, basically, active carbon, which possesses, as is known, some ability to ion-exchange sorption, it was also advisable to clarify, in what stage, the ion-exchange process follows the adsorption-complexing adsorption.
