Choice of the Optimum Number of Gravimeters for Simultaneous Observations (Vybor Optimalnogo Chisla Gravimetrov dlya Odnovremennykh Nablyudenii),

Abstract

On the basis of the reliability coefficients of gravimeters and theorems of the probability theory, the solution of the problem of a set of gravimeters for simultaneous observations is given. It is shown that the optimum number of gravimeters with high reliability coefficients is equal to three. An increase in the number of gravimeters results only in complication and rise in the cost of a gravimetric survey. (Author)
