Abstract
A 50ms delay line capable of operating at digit rates of 100Kc and providing 5mv output is feasible. Such a line is most suitable for operation in a sampling system coupled with suitable encoders, decoders and filters. A investigation into the fidelity and dynamic range achievable by combined techniques of data sampling, analog digital conversion and signal reconstitution for use with the delay line produced in the present contract, followed by actual construction of such a combined system is recommended as an extension to the present contract or as the content of a new contract.
