Film Vapour Condensations on Horizontal Small Finned Tubes,

Abstract

The report describes vapor film condensation on a horizontal tube with transverse trapezoid fins under the influence of surface tension. Experimental data are given for heat transfer of water and Freon-113 vapors, which are in a good agreement with the theoretical data. It is shown that the rate of vapour condensation may be increased by 1.5-2 times due to the action of surface forces. (Author)
