A Manually Operated Dew- or Frost-Point Hygrometer System Using CO2 Coolant.

Abstract

A simple, inexpensive, manually operated dew- or frost-point hygrometer has been designed, fabricated and installed in a system that functions at atmospheric pressure and vacuum. It is intended primarily for the detection of water vapor pressure in a confined space at vacuum, as encountered in free-flight aerophysics ranges. Illustrations, with dimensions of the hygrometer's component parts, are presented. Calibration and operation procedures are described and the results of the test are reported. (Author)
