Comparison of Effects of Storage under Varying Environmental Conditions of Ampouled Endo Broth and Dehydrated Endo Broth, August 1968-August 1970.

Abstract

The study was conducted to determine the storage requirements for ampouled media and to compare these results to those obtained with dehydrated media stored under similar conditions. Results obtained after 22 months of testing indicated that storage temperature rather than exposure to light is the critical factor causing deterioration of the ampouled media. Little apparent deterioration was noted when the media was stored either under refrigeration (4C) or at room temperature (22-24C). However, less than 50 percent of the coliforms incubated on ampouled media were detected after ten months storage at 35C. (Author)
