The Memory System of Octopus.

Abstract

The investigation has revealed the organization of the two memory systems, visual and tactile, in the octopus. The effect of removal of various parts of these systems has been investigated. The understanding of the basic principles of memory storage has been advanced and we hope the foundations laid for an attack on the physiological and chemical bases of memory. (Author)
