The Temperature Field with Steady State Evaporation,

Abstract

The report contains an investigation of the temperature field in a material with steady state evaporation using a surface or volumetric heat source (a laser beam or an electron beam). Relationships are derived, which describe the temperature distribution in strongly and weakly absorbing materials. It is demonstrated that the temperature distribution does not have a maximum within the material, if maximum intensity of the heat source occurs on the sublimating surface. (Author)
