Abstract

The problem of 'successful' approximation of nonlinear characteristics has continued to attract the attention of investigators right up to the present. At least two circumstances have recently increased the interest in this problem: the appearance of new types of semiconducting non-linear elements (the tunnel diode in particular) and the expanding application of electronic digital computers (EDC) to the investigation of nonlinear problems.
