Abstract
Results of experimental studies on determining true deformation in shrinkage of specimens made of steel R18 with initial deforming rates of 15-80 meters-second are given. Graphs depicting the nature of variation in contact friction as a function of deforming rate in the 15-110 meters-second range are presented. (Author)
