Analog Computers (Selected Articles),

Abstract

Electronic computers are the most convenient to construct and to use. Domestic industry mass produces electronic analog computers of various types, which are widely used for studying dynamic processes in various objects and systems for automatic control and regulation. The operation of every automatic-control system is based on the comparison of the true state of the system (a ship or airplane course) with a previously specified state. The observed deviation or error is amplified and used to act on an executing mechanism (rudder). (Author)
