The Effect of Concentrated Energy Fluxes on Materials,

Abstract

The article is an examination of the peculiarities and the mechanism of the effect of concentrated energy sources on materials (electron beam, laser beam, shock waves of explosives and electrical explosion of wires) with various forms of treatment (cutting, dimensional machining, melting, welding, deforming, strengthening, the application of coatings). Special attention is given to pulse effect. Trends of future investigations in this region are examined. (Author)
