Problem of Automatic Thesaurus Construction (K Voprosu ob Avtomaticheskom Postroenii Tezarusa),

Abstract

With respect to automatic indexing and information retrieval, statistical analysis of word usages in written texts is finding broad application in the solution of a number of problems. One of these problems is compiling a thesaurus on a digital computer. Using two methods, a comparative experiment in automatic thesaurus construction is presented. (Author)
