Cargo Characteristics of Resupply Requirements for Road Divisions.

Abstract

The report presents the results of an analysis of the quantity and physical characteristics of Army resupply requirements. Daily resupply consumption rates by supply class and combat posture were determined for organic units of the five types of ROAD divisions. Six combat postures and nine supply classes were considered. For each resupply factor the physical characteristics of the unit of issue were analyzed to develop coressponding distributions in percent of the resupply weight for package density, package weight, and minimum container size for fit. The results are in computerized form provided to the sponsoring military activity. (Author)
