Temperature Tests of High Pressure Transducers.

Abstract

Tests were conducted to determine the effect of ambient temperature on several piezo-electric and strain gage pressure transducers used in high pressure gun measurements at the Interior Ballistics Laboratory (IBL) of the U.S. Army Aberdeen Research and Development Center (USAARDC). The transducers were statically calibrated at fixed temperatures from -50 to +150F in 50 increments to a maximum pressure of 50 Kpsi. The temperature coefficient of sensitivity for the samples tested varied from -0.016 to -0.25%/F. (Author)
