Hot-Wire Measurements in a Cylinder Wake for Low Reynolds Number Flow at Mach Two.

Abstract

A hot-wire anemometer is used to measure the flow field downstream of a circular cylinder in a Mach two freestream. These measurements verify the presence of a wake shock in such flows for Reynolds numbers at low as 157.
