MOMENTS: A Computer Program to Calculate Moments and Products of Inertia of Assymmetric Shells and Other Bodies.

Abstract

The report describes the computer program MOMENTS, capable of calculating the components of the inertia tensor (moments and products of inertia) of asymmetric shells or bodies with respect to a set of axes with origin at the center of gravity of the shell. The program also computes other physical properties of shells, including mass, volume, principal axes, and Euler angles. The report also describes the model employed and the analysis leading to the derivations of the formulas used by MOMENTS. (Author)
