Abstract

The report is a compilation of summaries of the investigative efforts of Fiscal Year 1971 at Letterman Army Institute of Research. Work was devoted to basic and applied research in skin diseases of military importance; the effects of hemorrhagic shock on the heart and brain; the development of techniques for the early management of complex maxillofacial wounds and injuries; to identify diseases of the oral and maxillofacial tissues which are of special importance to the field soldier.
