Abstract

The report is a collection of biographies selected from a larger group of biographical sketches of Chinese leaders in the period since the Communist take-over. This group of biographies includes nineteen members of the second echelon of the military leadership whose background and experience is different from that of the members of the Central Committee of the Communist Party.
