Contact (Mixed) Problems of the Theory of Elasticity,
Abstract
The report is an English translation of a Russian bibliographic review of recent publications (1964-69) on contact problems. It takes no account of thermoelastic problems, the theory of bending of plates, or stress distributions in regions containing cracks; neither does it deal with problems whose approximate solutions have been obtained by application of variational techniques. The author does provide an extensive review outlining the various types of problems considered in the referenced papers and the methods employed by their authors. (Author)
