Variability of Measured Logistic Effects as Computed via the A-X 10-Year Operating and Support Cost Model.

Abstract

The paper investigates the output of the A-X 10-Year Operating and Support Cost Model as presented in Technical Memorandum No 14 in terms of variability. The model is exercised using actual data from an F-4E wing for three separate calendar quarters. The results yield some insight into the problem of variability of Measured Logistic Effects as computed via this model. This paper is one in a continuing series of reports dealing with the improvement of feasibility, credibility, and validity of life cycle costing as used in the development and acquisition of new weapon systems.
