Optimal Linear Tracking Systems.

Abstract

The problem of the design of linear, time-invariant tracking systems is considered. The concept of a type-l system is generalized from single-input, single-output systems to m-input, m-output systems. A technique is presented for the design of a linear tracking system that has an optimal step response. The properties of the design are illustrated by a computer simulation. (Author)
