Considerations on the Calibration of a Ferrite Rod Antenna for Measurements,

Abstract

The described examination shows by experiment and in part also by theory that ferrite rod antennas for measurements in the RF-region up to about 1 MHz may be calibrated also at very short distances from the calibration transmitter coil. Inhomogeneity of the calibration field is compensated for by calculation. Disturbance of the primary field by the ferrite rod is determined and accounted for by a series of measurements. (Author)
